MATTHEW OANCEA

I am a PhD student at the University of Queensland, where I have submitted my dissertation and expect to graduate by October 2026. My research lies in applied microeconomics, with a particular interest in modelling household behaviour, child development and human capital formation, and policy assessment.

During my doctoral studies I have presented my work at a number of conferences and seminars in Australia and abroad, and held a visiting position at the University of Bologna.
